SiteLock Upgrades, Cancellations, and Support

Upgrade or Downgrade SiteLock

To upgrade or downgrade your SiteLock package, follow the steps below (steps will be different for the New Portal vs. Old Portal experience):

  1. Log into your Billing Portal.
  2. Once in the billing portal perform the following actions:

    1. Click the Hosting tab.
    2. Select the hosting package you purchased the SiteLock plan for from the drop down box.
    3. Click the SiteLock icon from your menu bar.
    4. Click Upgrade under Security Plan and across from the domain for which you wish to upgrade.

You will receive a message confirming the successful activation of your new SiteLock plan.

How to Upgrade your SiteLock Legacy Plan

If you are using one of our legacy SiteLock plans, then you will need to upgrade/downgrade your SiteLock plan directly from cPanel as follows:

  1. Log into cPanel.
  2. In the Special Offers section, click the SiteLock icon.

  3. In the list of domains, under the SiteLock Service column, click Upgrade next to the domain for which you'd like SiteLock upgraded.
  4. You will be prompted to log in with your billing account credentials.
    • If you've lost or forgotten your billing password, click the Forgot your password link.
  5. In the Change Your Plan pop-up, select a new plan from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. in the Final Review pop-up, review your order and select the check box if you agree to SiteLock's Terms of Service.
  8. Click Activate.

You will receive a message confirming the successful activation of your new SiteLock plan.

Cancel SiteLock

Note: The following cancellation process is only applicable to Hatchling, Baby, and Business hosting plans. If you have any other type of hosting plan and would like to cancel SiteLock services, please contact SiteLock directly at (877) 257-9263. To protect the security of your account, SiteLock services must be cancelled via phone rather than email. This is due to the highly sensitive information that must be shared with a SiteLock representative as part of the cancellation process, including verification of account ownership and other specific account details. To ensure the highest levels of customer security, this process must be handled over the phone instead of email.

To cancel your SiteLock services, follow the steps below (steps will be different for the New Portal vs. Old Portal experience):

  1. Log into your Billing Portal.
  2. Once in the billing portal perform the following actions:

    1. Click the Hosting tab.
    2. Select the hosting package you purchased the SiteLock plan for from the drop down box.
    3. Click the SiteLock icon from your menu bar.
    4. Click the Trash Can icon under Manage and across from the domain for which you wish to cancel SiteLock.

How to Cancel your SiteLock Legacy Plan

If you are using one of our legacy SiteLock plans, then you will need to cancel your SiteLock plan directly from cPanel as follows:

  1. Log into cPanel.
  2. In the Special Offers section, click the SiteLock icon.

  3. In the list of domains, under the SiteLock Service column, click Cancel next to the domain for which you'd like SiteLock removed.
  4. You will be prompted to log in with your billing account credentials.
    • If you've lost or forgotten your billing password, click the Forgot your password link.
  5. In the Cancel Your Plan pop-up, click Yes to confirm SiteLock cancellation for your domain.

You will receive a confirmation message once cancellation is complete.
