How to Add Google Calendar in WordPress

Google Calendar can be used to keep track of important events in one place from any computer or mobile device at any location.

Set up Google Calendar

  1. Login to your Google account.
  2. Along the top navigation bar, click on Calendar.
  3. Along the left side of the page, click on My calendars > Create new calendar.
  4. Assign a name to the Calendar.
  5. Give the new Calendar a description.
  6. Select the proper Time Zone.
  7. Decide how the Calendar should be shared (public or private) and check the appropriate box.
  8. Click Permission Settings to choose the appropriate setting.
  9. Click Create Calendar.
     

Create Embed code for Google Calendar

  1. Along the left side of the page, click on My calendars > Settings.
  2. Click Shared: Edit settings link.
  3. Check the box for Make this calendar public.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Along the left side of the page, click on My calendars > Settings.
  6. Click Shared: Edit settings link.
  7. Along the top navigation bar, click on Calendar Details link.
  8. In the navigation bar along the left side of the page, review the settings listed under Auto-accept invitations & choose the one that best applies for this calendar.
  9. Copy the Embed Code from the Embed This Calendar box.
     

Embed Calendar Code into WordPress

  1. Login to WordPress Dashboard.
  2. From the left navigation menu, go to Posts >Add New or Pages > Add New (depending upon how you wish to display your Calendar).
  3. Select Text Editor tab and paste the code directly into the box.
  4. Click Publish.
