How to Install Drupal through QuickInstall

The following tutorials will assist you with installing Drupal using Quick Install. Use the following links to navigate to your hosting plan type.

To install Drupal using Quick Install on a Shared Server

  1. Log into your cPanel.
  2. In the Software section, click on the QuickInstall icon:

  3. On this page you will then click the One-Click Installs option:

  4. Next, select the Drupal 7 icon

  5. Using the drop down menu chose the domain that Drupal should be installed to as well as any subdirectory you would like the site to load from if desired.
    Example: Should you wish your Drupal URL to be example.com/site instead of just example.com.

  6. Complete the form that appears with the following details:

    1. For Admin Username, enter your preferred username.
    2. For Site Title, enter the name of the website. This is what will appear in the header as the name of your site.
    3. For Timezone, chose your preferred time zone from the drop down.
    4. For Admin Email, enter an email address where you want the admin password emailed to. Make sure this is a working email address.
    5. Check the box next to the Terms of Service Agreement.
    6. Click the orange Install button when you're ready to proceed.
  7. A progress bar will inform you of the progress of your installation. When complete, click Details for your admin URL, username, and password:

Once the installation is complete, and you have your credentials, you can begin working on your Drupal site! Check your email for the Drupal username and password as well as a link to your Drupal login page.

To install Drupal using Quick Install on a Reseller, VPS, or Dedicated Server

To install Drupal using Quick Install:

  1. Log into your cPanel.
  2. In the Software/Services section, click on the QuickInstall icon:

  3. In the left-hand column, under Popular Installs, click Drupal, then select your preferred version:

  4. Click Install Drupal.

  5. Complete the form that appears with the following details:

    1. The Base Domain for your isntallation.
    2. The sub directory you would like the site to load from, if desired.

      Example: Should you wish your Drupal URL to be mydomain.com/site instead of just mydomain.com.
    3. For Admin Email, enter an email address where you want the admin password emailed to. Make sure this is a working email address.
    4. For Admin Username, enter your preferred user name.
    5. For Site Title, enter the name of the website. This is what will appear in the header as the name of your site.
    6. Click Install Drupal when you're ready to proceed.
  6. A progress bar will inform you of the progress of your installation. When complete, click Details for your admin URL, username, and password:

Once the installation is complete, and you have your credentials, you can begin working on your Drupal site! Check your email for the Drupal username and password as well as a link to your Drupal login page.
