Tomcat Java

Tomcat is currently supported on Linux and Windows dedicated servers only, as well as our VPS plans. Our admins can install Tom Cat 5.5, free of charge, on Windows Dedicated or Linux VPS/Dedicated plans that have cPanel.

For Linux, it is installed as an addon in cPanel. For Windows, it is installed as an addon in Plesk.

Once tomcat has been installed on the server we cannot provide any support for configuring or setting up the java applications.

VPS, and you will need to customize your hosting environment by adding Tom Cat.

What versión of Tomcat is installed via Cpanel?

HostGator
It's still version 5.

can i install tomcat+java in level 1 of my vps plan

HostGator
Yes, go for it.

You can even email sales@hostgator.com and ask us to quote the price to install it. (Requires a quoted price because the Lvl 1 VPS does not have cPanel.)

When will Tomcat 6 be available?

HostGator
Tomcat 6 is not currently part of cPanel, so it will not be free to install.

Email support@hostgator.com for a quote.
