If you have a Linux-based VPS or Dedicated Server, there is no anti-virus installed by default. We can, however, install ClamAV antivirus on your dedicated server or VPS and set it up so it scans your incoming and outgoing mail for viruses, trojans, and malware. Please contact support@hostgator.com to open a ticket if you're interested in having us install ClamAV on your Linux VPS or Dedicated Server.
We can provide anti-virus on Windows Dedicated Servers as well. We will install it for free, but there is none installed by default other than the Mail virus scanner included.
