Please don't call (accumulated) traffic "bandwidth" (and traffic limit as "bandwidth limit"). This looks very odd from a professional hosting provider (and I found it a bit confusing indeed for a short while).

Of course, we know that bandwidth technically means the rate of data transfer.

However, "bandwidth" has become a term used by the common man which means the amount of data transfer allowed in a specified time period.
