How to Install Joomla through QuickInstall

The following tutorials will assist you with installing Joomla using Quick Install. Use the following links to navigate to your hosting plan type.

Note: This is not the only way to install Joomla. You can also install Joomla manually using instructions from Joomla or by using a third party installer.

To install Joomla using Quick Install on a Shared Server

  1. Log into your cPanel.
  2. In the Software section, click on the QuickInstall icon:

  3. On this page you will then click the One-Click Installs option:

  4. Next, select the Joomla 7 icon

  5. Using the drop down menu chose the domain that Joomla should be installed to as well as any subdirectory you would like the site to load from if desired.
    Example: Should you wish your Joomla URL to be example.com/site instead of just example.com.

  6. Complete the form that appears with the following details:

    1. For Admin Username, enter your preferred username.
    2. For Site Title, enter the name of the website. This is what will appear in the header as the name of your site.
    3. For Admin Email, enter an email address where you want the admin password emailed to. Make sure this is a working email address.
    4. Check the box next to the Terms of Service Agreement.
    5. Click the orange Install button when you're ready to proceed.
  7. A progress bar will inform you of the progress of your installation. When complete, click Details for your admin URL, username, and password:

Once the installation is complete, and you have your credentials, you can begin working on your Joomla site! Check your email for the Joomla username and password as well as a link to your Joomla login page.

To install Joomla using Quick Install on a Reseller, VPS, or Dedicated Server

  1. Log into your cPanel.
  2. In the Software/Services section, click on the Quick Install icon:

  3. In the left menu, under Popular Installs, click Joomla, then click Install Joomla:

  4. Complete the form that appears with the following details:

    1. The Base Domain for your isntallation.
    2. The sub directory you would like the site to load from, if desired.

      Example: Should you wish your Joomla URL to be mydomain.com/site instead of just mydomain.com.
    3. For Admin Email, enter an email address where you want the admin password emailed to. Make sure this is a working email address.
    4. For Admin Username, enter your preferred user name.
    5. For Site Name, enter the name of the website. This is what will appear in the header as the name of your site.
    6. Click Install Joomla when you're ready to proceed.

A progress bar at the top of the page will let you know when installation is complete. Once complete, you will be able to start working on your Joomla site. Check your email for your Joomla username and password as well as a link to your Joomla administration area.
