Do I need to do anything with my certificates if I change servers or IPs?

You will use the same certificate codes, but the SSL must be reinstalled on your new server or IP.

HostGator charges a $10 fee to install SSL certificates. As a shared or reseller customer, you cannot install an SSL certificate on your account. As a VPS or unmanaged dedicated server user, you may install an SSL certificate on your own, or you may have HostGator install it for you for a $10 fee.

We will install your SSL free of charge on all managed dedicated servers.
