It is suggested to use WinMTR to generate a traceroute to send to HostGator.com. In this article, we will explain where to locate WinMTR and also how to use it so that you may obtain your traceroute.
Where do I obtain WinMTR?- Go to http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/winmtr_bin.zip
- Choose to Open the file when prompted. (The Zip utility on your computer should open the zip file and show the contents.)
- Extract the file contents to a folder on your computer.
- Locate the file where you extracted the zip file.
- Click the "WinMTR.exe" file. (The WinMTR window opens.)
- Enter the domain name(s) in the Host field.
- Click "Start". WinMTR begins sending packets to the IP address.
- When the "Sent" number reaches 50 click "Stop".
Finally, copy from the clipboard and send a paste of this report to our administrators via email to support@hostgator.com.
