Launchpad is Hostgator's own domain registrar. Any domain(s) that are registered during the initial account setup of Shared and Reseller plans will be part of this system. In order to manage your domains, simply log into your billing account at https://gbclient.hostgator.com/ and follow these instructions:
In the left hand menu, under the Billing Details category, click on View Domain Names.
The domains that you have registered with LaunchPad should be listed here. Click on the one that you wish manage.
This next page is the Domain Management page, from here you can edit your nameservers and WHOIS information. In the NS1 and NS2 fields, enter the nameservers to point your domain. This is also where you would register your private nameservers, should you desire to do so; simply type "ns1.yourdomain.com" in NS Name box, and the correct IP for that nameserver, as included in your welcome email, in the NS IP box. Then repeat the same steps for NS2.
If you want to use managed DNS with your Launchpad domain, the nameservers for the domain must be set to the following:
ns1.launchpad.com
ns2.launchpad.com
ns3.launchpad.com
ns4.launchpad.com
Once you have entered your Nameservers, click on Update Information to save your changes. Please remember that nameserver changes can take 24 to 48 hours to propagate.
The WHOIS information for the domain is managed further down on the same page. Keep in mind that WHOIS information is freely viewable to the general public, via a WHOIS search. Ensure that the email addresses entered are current and valid; they will be used to contact you for any domain related actions.
Once you have set your WHOIS information, scroll down and click Update Information to save your changes.

Currently, we can setup a URL redirect for any LaunchPad domain without hosting, for no extra fees. The nameservers must be set to ns1.launchpad.com, ns2.launchpad.com, ns3.launchpad.com, and ns4.launchpad.com. Then email sales@hostgator.com to tell us which domain and where it will redirect.
