HostGator becoming its own registrar

Our domain registrar service is still currently in the works, however it is very close to completion. We will be offering domains at competitive pricing, along with the same great support you have come to know. We cannot provide further details at this time, however we can guarantee you that it will be worth the wait!

Private Beta / Soft Launch

LaunchPad is currently in private beta testing. See our article on registering a domain name with LaunchPad for more details on how you can participate. During the beta testing period, prices will be the same as domains registered with HostGator/eNom. After the beta period, we will open registrations to everyone and LaunchPad will have its own competitive pricing.

Seems like I've seen this notice for quite some time, there is no date on it. It's 10-11-10, how's it going? I have a bunch of domains I'd like to consider transferring.

HostGator
We have been spreading the rumors for a while, but this a new article.

The reason I placed this article online is because our newsletter announced this service should be ready within a few weeks.

Pxl
This is very exciting news, and I've been stalking the blog, hoping for a change in status.

I'm holding off renewing my URL's on your competitor's site so I can transfer them here instead. But they renew middle of November. Do you think the HostGator service willl be up and running by then? :)

*crosses fingers.... and toes....*

HostGator
If it is not ready by November 1st, I will notify you here in the comments.

I can't wait to get all my domains out of ipower. I can't stand them. I had them for hosting too and they were terrible. I love HostGator and am excited about being able to register domains here.

HostGator
We are not quite ready with the HostGator registrar, but we can offer registration services provided by HostGator via our registrar, Enom.

If you transfer your registration to HostGator now, we can migrate you to our new registration services when they are ready.

I have an eNom reseller account through Hostgator, will my existing domains on eNom be transferred to eNom when the domain service is up ?
Thank you.

HostGator
I will let you know once we have more information.

Kelley
Will your services be cheaper than GoDaddy's? Right now, it's cheaper to renew with them for another year than to pay the $15 through you.

HostGator
If you are following the newsletter, we were updated that the new registration services will be ready soon. We were also informed that our prices will be cheaper than the competition.

I will update this article once the service is ready.

Christine
I thought domain transfer was free with a new account? It's asking me to pay 15.00 on the form...

HostGator
If you qualify for the FREE domain registration transfer, you must submit this special form:

Hi HG: I am so looking forward to becoming one of your customers - your reputation is great. Since I haven't registered a domain name yet, would it be better if I just waited until your registration services are available?

OK, this is a not-so-subtle way of asking how it's going with this process?

Thanks!

HostGator
We are already testing the registration services and tools. We are about to "launch" this service very soon.

HostGator
We are anticipating LaunchPad's release within the first quarter of 2011.

Iop
Is it still the first quarter? I am so done with godaddy. Please, please!
