How long does it take to setup my account?

For security purposes, all new purchases with HostGator.com are screened for fraudulent orders.

After you pay for the hosting:

  • Shared, Reseller and SEO accounts take less than 1 hour to set up.
  • VPS with cPanel or Plesk takes a few hours (about 3 to 4) to set up.
  • VPS without cPanel or Plesk takes less than 1 hour to set up.
  • Dedicated server takes 24 to 48 hours to set up.

Upon signing up, you will receive an email stating that HostGator.com has received your order and is processing it. If you still need to pay, you will receive an email which guides you to pay the balance (must be done prior to account activation). After your order has been paid for and confirmed, you shall receive your welcome email and will be ready to publish your website online with HostGator.com.

Please note that if you wish to pay with eCheck, a regular check, money order, cash, Western Union, or EFT, it may take longer to activate your account while we wait to receive payment.

If you signup online and choose PayPal, you will notice that you are not required to pay, immediately.

This means, you must sign into your billing account and make a PayPal payment before we can activate your hosting.

You will get an email, either telling you to pay, or telling you we need more information.

I just buy a domain and a baby plan from hostgator..i pay via paypal..instant..

I got receipt of it.

But it's 1 hours now and not getting any confirmation mail in my account..Like all passwords and cpanel and all..

how log does it takes,,??
