WordPress 3.x.x is available and compatible with HostGator. You can install any version that you like, however we recommend that you install the latest stable version, and continue to update WordPress as new releases come out.
Where do I find WordPress 3?
You can install WordPress via QuickInstall in your cPanel.
The latest stable version will be available for installation, and once installed you can upgrade to the latest version from within WordPress itself so you are always kept up to date.

We will do our best to have the latest versions available. If you do not see the version you want, you may download a copy online and install it manually.
