Why isn't this available in my country?

HostGator and Google have teamed up to provide this offer for you, however, Google administers the Google AdWords program itself, including which countries it is available in. We've recently added India to the list of countries who can redeem AdWords credits (although they have a slightly different offer), and we hope to add more countries in the future.

Really think that this article is useful... Hope in the next future, outside US and Canada also could redeem that offer

Tim
Why is this offer only valid to billing addresses in USA and Canada. You charge the same for your customers outside of those areas, and I can't imagine traffic from outside the area costs you any more, so why the discrimination?

HostGator
This is a product by Google, for Google. We have no say over their terms and rules.

If we can offer this in the future to our international customers, we will definitely let everyone know.

Mahfooz
Good to know this information.this is a
great help to all especialy those in need s
of financial assitance about adwords and its policies.

sourena
so
can i get this offer with using a billing adress of my friend in usa?

HostGator
No, Google checks your sign-up IP as well. If you try to proxy or mask your IP, we will flag your account and revoke your AdWords coupon.

Cris
Yep.I agree with Tim. This is just not fair to give this only to USA and Canada .... You must fix this ... we pay the same money and we want the same services.

HostGator
Once again, we cannot fix this for you.

This coupon is part of a Google service, and only Google can change the restrictions.

I am having Ubuntu on my PC, can I still take Hostgator hosting with wordpress installation. Will there by any problem during plugins installation.

HostGator
It does not matter what Operating System you have on your PC. It makes no difference to your HostGator website.

Craigw
I agree this is totally unfair to other customers. I pay exactly the same as everyone else so should get the same service.

I understand this is a restriction by google but if that is the case then you should remove the offer totally and not offer it to anyone.

I think it's awesome that hosgator is willing to give us every opportunity to boost our visibility. I know it doesn't seem fair that the adwords coupon is not available to those outside the U.S., but I am grateful for the opportunity that hostgator has made available to us. Maybe google just needs to get on the ball.

I have an account with another hosting company also, and they do not offer this coupon to intl customers either. This is a Google issue, not hosting company issue.

I'm from Europe and also would have liked to use this offer. I wasn't aware of these restrictions when I signed up (my eyes must have skipped the notification somehow). However I am happy for the North Americans and Indians that they can make use of this nice offer. I saw similar offers of Dutch hosting companies in the Netherlands (only then for 50 Euro's). But I would not let my choice of host depend on it. Perhaps Google want users to host at hosting companies in their own country? I can't imagine why, but I also find it hard to imagine that Google would make such choices unthoughtfully and randomly.

Based on my observations of the hosting industry, it appears that Google only allows web hosts to give away coupons for the countries or regions they are in. So American hosting companies can only give coupons to U.S. and Canadian customers; Indian companies can give the coupons to Indian customers, etc. HostGator has HostGator U.S. and HostGator India, which is why they can offer the coupons to U.S., Canada & India. I'm sure HostGator would give the coupons to anyone if Google would let them.
