Install Prosper202

The official installation guide is located at this link.

You may run into a problem installing Prosper202 on a HostGator shared server. This is because HostGator does not support SQL partitioning on our shared servers.

Solution:

  1. You MUST do this before attempting to configure the database. If you already configured the database, then you must uninstall and start over.
  2. Locate the functions-install.php file (inside the 202-config folder) and delete it.
  3. Upload this file and rename it to functions-install.php
  4. Browse your Prosper202 site and follow the database configuration wizard.

Note: To fix the issue, we offer this modified functions_install.php file, where we removed the references to SQL partitioning. This is an unofficial fix and doesn't solve the real problem. The only way to actually meet the requirements for Prosper202 is to host it on a VPS or dedicated server.

Still does not work, the install works ok but after it is installed it will not generate a tracking link and it won't let me input the tracking 202 api key or the tracking domain. Get database errors when trying to perform these functions.

The linked file seems to be out of date. As of today, you can take the function-install.php and...

delete lines 336-394 THEN
delete lines 483-486 THEN
delete lines 756-813

(note that the line numbers change as you delete lines so you must delete them in this order).

I also put the current file with partitioning removed up on pastebin...
