I created an Addon Domain, why did it say Subdomain added?

Help! I added an addon domain, but cPanel said a subdomain has been created.

Please ignore this! It is a fully functional domain name that can have its own emails, forwarders, and pages. cPanel calls it a subdomain because the addon domain exists in inside your sites public_html directory.

What is the difference between parked, addon, and subdomains?

hello, I added an "add on domain" and uploaded the files to the public html where the new domain was, but nothing is showing up. Do I have to change my DNS for that new domain, and what do I change them to? Do I use the same DNS that was given for my first domain? Thanks for any help.

First, be sure to upload the files to the folder inside public_html. The path is /public_html/addonfoldername/

Next, be sure to use the same nameservers which HostGator provided for your primary domain name.
