I have about 8 active domains I want to temporarily deactivate one and stop paying monthly hosting fee I will reactivate later Can I do it?
Or out of 8 domains can I cancel only one?

HostGator
For example, if you have 2 Baby plans, then you cannot temporarily deactivate one and stop paying for it. Even when the account is suspended, it still uses Disk Space (an important resource). If you want to stop paying for the plan, you must allow us to terminate it (completely delete it from our servers).

A different situation, for example, is if you have one plan with 8 domain names hosted on the one plan. You cannot temporarily deactivate one of the domain names and stop paying for it. If you want to stop paying for the domain name, you simply allow ti to expire and do not renew it. If you do allow the name to expire, then you risk losing the name to another person who wants it. If you do not want to lose your domain name, you must pay the registration every year.

On my account I have a domain and a baby account I think and I am wondering if I council the account is there a way to keep the domain?

HostGator
No need to do anything special because those products are separate.

When you cancel the hosting plan, you still keep the domain name until it actually expires.

Hi, I just requested a cancellation but changed my mind that I don't want to cancel and I already received a email about my request. Is there any way to cancel my request and still have my domain and all that?

HostGator
Please reply to the email we sent about your request. Tell us via the reply about your change of mind.

I have an account with hosting plan and domain registration. If I cancel hosting plan, will I still have the access to billing control panel so I can renew domain registration?

HostGator
If you receive invoices for that domain registration in the billing system, then you will continue to have access there.

If you do NOT receive invoices for that domain registration in the billing system, and assuming you have no hosting plans remaining, then you will not continue to need access. Instead, you would manage your domain at hostgator.com/domains or arrange payment by emailing sales@hostgator.com .

Can i cancel a domain name I have registered. How do I do this?

HostGator
You cannot un-register a domain name. Even if you cancel your hosting plan, you still keep the domain name until it actually expires.

I have 2 baby plans with you and I want to cancel only one permanently - BUT I want to keep the other functional. How can I do it?

HostGator
Use the cancel link I mentioned, and then be very specific about which account we should cancel in the instructions. (Normally the accounts have different domains, usernames, and are on different servers, therefore we can always tell which one you want to cancel.)

After I cancel my Hosting Plan, how will I manage my domains' DNS?

HostGator
You can still manage it via your billing account or http://hostgator.com/domains
