How can I get coupons to give to my referrals?

You can offer any of our coupon codes.

We automatically suggest the 20% off coupon to anyone who buys hosting. If you offer a different coupon code, the person you refer must enter the coupon code for themselves.

HostGator's public coupon codes are not linked to any affiliate account and can be used without forfeiting a commission.

How can I automatically use a coupon with my affiliate link?

You cannot make your affiliate link automatically apply a coupon code. The referred visitor must enter the coupon code while signing up.

However, you can create your own custom coupon code, and anyone who uses it will give you credit for the sale. Even if the visitor clicks someone else's affiliate link, if they use your coupon, then you will get the commission. Custom coupon codes must be over 10 characters long or they will not work.

Am I allowed to offer rebates?

No, you may not offer any rebates to your referrals.

You need to mention the 'hgc25' coupon code on your web site, or add the code to the banner image.

After the visitor clicks your affiliate link, they must enter the coupon code on their own.

Is the 'hgc25' use by all affilate using the i cent strategy? If so, how do HG know which affilate refer those customers to earn the subsequence monthly commisions?

That is not a custom coupon, so it does not affect who gets the commission. Instead the commission goes to the person who's affiliate link was last clicked.

During hosting sign up, there is a coupon code which appears by DEFAULT - Currently that code is "SPRING".

If someone uses my referral link and does not change that code who gets credit for that sale?

I really love your guys' hosting so I'm happy to be able to offer this to my clients who want to set up their own hosting. One question I have, in my affiliate control panel I set up a coupon that is my company name. The information said that anyone using that coupon code would receive $9.95 off their order. What if they just sign up for the Hatchling Plan at 8.95/month. Do you pay them .99 or just apply that to their next month, or how exactly does that work. Probably a dumb question, I just want to be able to explain it to my customers. Thanks!
